Netflix’s High on the hog wins the 82nd Peabody Award.

Netflix’s original series high on the hog how African American cuisine transformed America has won an award in the 82nd Peabody Awards an annual award dedicated to honoring stories that matter.

The documentary hosted by Chef Stephen Satterfield is a four-episode series that traces the ways Black food has influenced American culture and history.

The award was revealed yesterday, (Monday, June 6th, 2022) Day 1 of the Peabody Award winners reveal. It was presented by award-winning music artiste and producer, John Legend. High on the hog is a One Story Up Production and Pilgrim Media Group for Netflix (Netflix).
