If you are a lover of pastry or an aspiring chef this is a good cookbook to practice with as it contains over a dozen detailed recipes tailored towards baking varieties of bread with analysis.

I am picking this because of the author’s honesty he stated “the bread I am giving here is not truly French, and for that reason, it is called “French-style.” The author further recommended other recipes developed by Julia Child and Simone Beck in Volume 2 of Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
