Garlic says they taste better than they smell. Is this so? In the latest message received on My Cookery Zone’s Thinking Food 24/7. Garlic, said a piece of their mind and how they feel about onion statement of being able to stand alone in meals.
Good day to you My Cookery Zone,
It is a great pleasure to be writing to you this week I have been looking forward to a day like this and I’m glad such a day finally came to reality.
Peace be unto you all who use me in your meals. I wish you all peace. In the previous week, it was brought to my attention that onion said they can stand alone without being in the companying of the two G’s.
I, Garlic I’m one of the G’s onion was referring to my second may choose to reply or not but I’m writing this to say a piece of my mind. Since time immemorial home cooks and chefs have always combined all of us together in making soups, pottages, sauces, etc. But, all of a sudden onion decided that they could stand alone it is fair to say that onion is nothing but selfish and inconsiderate.
I will like to also address those who think I have no relevance in the food space. I am the spice that gives comfort and awakens your palates with the garlicky smell. I always balance food with my abundance of pungent taste and flavor. In me is an abundance of vitamins and minerals. I learned that some people even swallow me as pills those are the people who can testify to the goodness of using Garlic.
Onion may try to prove to be different but we are from the same family we are related and that is one thing onion can’t get over. Is it the fact that I get used to making dishes like bread, butter, etc? This doesn’t stop those who have continued to ridicule me for having an odour you see that garlicky smell is what differentiates me from other spices and herbs. I know what I do when I’m used to cooking a role which can’t be taken away from me. I love myself regardless and I know I taste better than I smell.
