“It is disappointing that some people may have the impression that Chicken Republic fired these security guards for dancing…” Chicken Republic responds to the alleged firing of security guards caught dancing.

Earlier in the week, a video of two security guards of Chicken Republic surfaced online. In the viral video, the security guards were dancing within the premises of the eatery.

The public later called out the Chicken Republic after information circulated that the guards in the video were allegedly fired for dancing. In the wake of this, Chicken Republic has issued a statement.

In the statement, Chicken Republic made it known that “It is disappointing that some people may have the impression that Chicken Republic fired these security guards for dancing in our stores, this is not true, and hence we need to set the record straight.”

Chicken Republic setting “the record straight” made it known that “we outsource our security”. Chicken Republic further disclosed in the statement that, “When the management of the private security company saw the two security guards dancing in the video, they had concerns that the security officers, whilst dancing, were not necessarily conducting their duties responsibly and as such, were probably not fully focused on their core responsibility, which is, your safety and your security.”

In the concluding part of the statement, Chicken Republic stated that “We have followed up with the security company, and they have assured us that the security guards have not been fired, and have been paid their dues and have been offered some retraining.” Chicken Republic stated.
