The 8th International Young Chef Olympiad virtual competition has announced winners in the first, second and third place. The competition that happened virtually had over 50 countries battle for hope.
Contestants in the world’s biggest virtual culinary competition took food lovers into the State-of-the-art kitchens where they cooked for a sustainable tomorrow upholding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Young Chef Olympiad grand finale 2022 saw contestants from Italy, England, Switzerland, Greece, and Iceland compete in the global kitchen. After the battle for hope in the global kitchen, the Young Chef Olympiad has announced winners of the medals and the golden trophy.
Iceland’s Halldór Haflidason was announced the winner of third place, Singapore’s Chong Jia De was announced as the winner of second place and Italy’s Matteo Cignetti was announced the winner of the coveted golden trophy for the young chef olympiad competition 2022.



My Cookery Zone Food Media gathered that the competition ended with a spectacular virtual Closing Ceremony that had in attendance stakeholders from the International Institute of Hotel Management, Mentors, and contestants.
