Afcon 2021: Cape Verde FA confirms food poisoning outbreak ahead of the game with Senegal.

Cape Verde FA has confirmed an outbreak of gastroenteritis in their camp ahead of Tuesday’s game against Senegal at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.



The West African football club disclosed that “eight people” from the camp were affected by food poisoning via a tweet.


According to Cape Verde FA, “Today’s training session had all the players on the pitch. However, at the moment, the delegation is facing an outbreak of gastroenteritis caused by food poisoning which affects eight people,”



The football club is to play against Senegal later today Tuesday.
