The Washington Post corrects Gene Weingarten’s dislike food article releases a statement.

The controversial article written by the renowned columnist, Gene Weingarten has been updated and corrected by The Washington Post.

The article titled: “Gene Weingarten: You can’t make me eat these foods” and his statement on Indian food being “insanely based entirely on one spice.” generated lots of blowbacks in the past few hours after the columnist expressed his dislike for certain foods in the article.

In the corrected version on Washington Post, corrections were made as regards Gene’s earlier statement that Indian food is “insanely based entirely on one spice.” As at the time this is being reported it has been corrected to:

“CORRECTION

A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Indian cuisine is based on one spice, curry, and that Indian food is made up only of curries, types of stew. In fact, India’s vastly diverse cuisines use many spice blends and include many other types of dishes. The article has been corrected.”
