United Nations Food Systems Summit 2021 pre-summit programme ended yesterday. It was a 3-day summit curated to transform Food systems by gathering global stakeholders – ranging from producers to civil society to indigenous peoples and others!

The Pre-Summit had many plenary and affiliate sessions that featured some stakeholders like: Amina Mohammed (United Nations Deputy Secretary-General), Luigi Di Maio (Minister Of Foreign Affairs, Italy), Mario Draghi (Prime Minister Italy), Qu Dongyu, (Director-General, FAO)
and many other world leaders.
Even as the 3-day pre-summit saw global key stakeholders speak and deliver lecturers “100+ countries came together over the course of 3 days at the #UNFSS2021 Pre-Summit to discuss how they will transform their national #FoodSystems to drive progress towards the #GlobalGoals by 2030.” this was disclosed by #UNFSS2021.
The Food Systems Summit which was curated with the aim of maximizing the co-benefits of a food systems approach across the entire 2030 Agenda and meeting the challenges of climate change is to hold in New York in September, 2021.
