Italy has demonstrated that it values smallholder farmers, especially women, in defining the future of sustainable #FoodSystems. Those are the words of the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Amina J. Mohammed

She stated this in a tweet on the second day of the just concluded #UNFSS2021.

In her tweet she showed appreciation to Prime Minister Draghi, on the course of hosting the Pre-Summit.

However, at the closing plenary sessions yesterday, Amina J. Mohammed brought to the forefront diversity & inclusivity. In her words, ‘Diversity is our strength. It does reflect the complexities of this world, & they are tough, & that’s why we’re here, & that’s why we can only do it together.’
