Woman finds deep-fried towel in her fast-food order instead of crispy fried chicken.

A woman named, Alique Perez claimed to have been given a deep-fried towel instead of the famous crispy fried chicken which the fast food giant company, Jollibee is known for.

In the viral Facebook post on Wednesday. The photos and video shows a deep-fried bluish towel covered in batter received over 100,000 reactions and many shares. The posts were also flooded with comments from disappointed customers and fans of the fast food chain, the largest in the Philippines.

Perez stated in the video that she ordered the meal for her son. Perez captioned the post saying, “How the hell do you get the towel in the batter and even fry it,” she wrote. “So disgusting and embarrassing!”

Food safety laws in the Philippines are quite clear as, mishandling of food may be punishable by a fine of as much as $6,300 and six-month closure of the establishment.

However, Jollibee said in a public statement that, it already ordered a store in the upscale Bonifacio Global City, one of the country’s top financial centers, to cease operations for three days to “thoroughly review its compliance with procedures and retrain its store team.”

Reports have it that, Philippines fast food giant Jollibee has temporarily closed one of its store following the complaint from the customer.
