High on the Hog- How African American Cuisine Transformed America is a movie based on Jessica B.  Harris award-winning book titled, High on the Hog: A Culinary Journey from Africa to America. The Netflix original movie was released Wednesday, 26th 2021.

High on the Hog traces the moving story of a people’s survival and triumph via the food that has knit generations together and helped define the American kitchen.
The new docuseries which comes in four episodes sees the host, chef and writer Stephen Satterfield trace delicious cuisines from Africa to Texas.
