Association of Food and Livestock Transporters, who transport food and livestock from northern to southern part of Nigeria, has announced an immediate and indefinite strike from Thursday 25th February, 2021.
According to the association, there has been a lot of violence in the country that has caused loss of lives and properties of traders living in the south. They stated that the government hasn’t done anything to compensate them, and if their needs aren’t met, the strike may linger for a long time.
