Opeyemi Famakin, launches Eat West Africa site for food vendors to meet consumers.

Nigeria’s biggest food and wine critic, Opeyemi Famakin, has launched Eat West Africa site for food vendors in Nigeria and West Africa at large.

This platform is set to make food lovers explore good food from vendors within their vicinity. On the site currently, it showcases food and drink varieties like : Pasta, Rice, Cocktails, Pastry, Sea food, and Soups.

The lockdown and pandemic inspired Ope in creating the platform. In a post Ope stated why he created the platform, “Everyday, EVERYDAY, I get not less than 60 dm’s of people asking me where they can buy particular dishes and the one constant thing is that they don’t want to pay an extra delivery fee so they prefer vendors IN THEIR AREA.”

During a quick chat Ope confirmed that, Eat West Africa isn’t a monetary transaction site for vendors and their consumers but rather, a place to get the contact of the nearest food vendor who sells what you crave within your vicinity.
