The volume 1 of the agency that connects people and brands to African food culture, Dine Diaspora has launched the EZIBAN Recipes Digital Booklet. EZIBAN (ā’zē’bən) which means food in Ghana’s Fante language takes us to the root of where the digital booklet’s name was derived.
EZIBAN cookbook is a collection of recipes from the Dine Diaspora × AfroPUNK on Bites&Beats – a show that showcases food and the Black diaspora. The book features recipes from food and beverage influencers like: Chef Marcellus Coleman, Chef Eric Adjepong, Chef Paola Velez, DeVonn
Francis, Andra Johnson, Tiffany-Anne Parkes, Chef Kwame Onwuachi, Rachel Laryea, Chef Zoe Adjonyoh, Chef Marcus Samuelsson, and Shannon Mustipher
Speaking on the launch of EZIBAN, Dine Diaspora co-founder, Nina Oduro said in a post, “the chefs, entrepreneurs, and experts I talked to remained resilient and steadfast in their pursuit for change in diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
This recipe book is a testiment to the power of the Black diaspora at time of uncertainty. Every recipe is provided by a guest on the Bites&Beats show and paired with a song you can vibe to while cooking or eating.”
The chefs, beverage experts, and food entrepreneurs featured celebrate foods from their heritage while drawing on their own experiences and journeys to build onto the cuisines that define Black diaspora foodways.
