Meet our Men and Women crush for the month of June 2020.

Chef Dieuveil Malonga @dieuveilmalonga was our Man crush on June 15th 2020. He prefers to be called Malonga because his roots and values are grounded in the name a legacy from his parents. He hails from Kigali, Rwanda his “ambition is to write a new story of gastronomy”.
Malonga describes himself as a “young gourmet chef” who “specializes in making Afro-Fusion cuisines”. His career started at age 13 after traveling to Germany where cooking and music soon became his tool of choice to express himself.
He got admitted into the culinary school and won severals competitions. Being a young black chef in Germany also brought him media attention.
In the year 2014, he participated in Top Chef which aired on M6 TV channel his participation in the competition took him to Paris.
He has been featured on various platforms like : Forbes, The New York Times, The Guardian, CNN and Essence. In 2018, Malonga and 29 others covered Afrique Forbes top 30 under 30 magazine.
We at MCZ, wish him well on his ambition to write a new story of gastronomy which has its roots in Africa and contribute to establish more of African cuisine.

The Zeelicious Queen, Winifred Emmanuel of @zeeliciousfoods that delights in “Fast-Fun Cooking” was our Woman crush on June 17th 2020.
Winifred Emmanuel is the founder of Zeelicious Foods Enterprise a platform she shares food related content. She runs a YouTube channel called Zeelicious Foods — she’s fondly called ‘Winnie’ the Zeelious Queen hails from Anambra, but grew up in Lagos, Nigeria.
Her passion for food started at age 12, when she made her debut in the kitchen. Zeelicious was coined from two words, ‘Zeal’ and ‘Delicious’. Winnie’s inspiration is borne out of the fact that she always wants to stand out and be the best at what she does. She’s also a big believer of providing solutions to problems.
She’s been featured on many platforms like MCZ Exclusive Interview on April 13th, 2018 and was awarded by YouTube in 2019 for hitting the 100,000 subscribers milestone.

Chef Miyonse Oluwaseyi Amosu was our Man crush on June 22nd 2020.
He is a Nigerian journalist and professional chef who hails from Badagry in Lagos, Nigeria. We describe him as a connoisseur and an extraordinaire chef. Miyonse attended University of Lagos where he bagged a degree in Mass Communication, he got trained as a professional chef at Reddish Chronicles Culinary School (Lagos Branch) after which he took part in the Big Brother Naija reality show season 2.
After the BBNaija show, he gained popularity amongst food lovers and started hosting the cooking segment of Wake Up Nigeria a breakfast show on TVC Entertainment with the hosts Yomi Owope and Titilayo Oyinsan. In June 2017, he was announced as the maiden ambassador for Payporte Food store.
He has been featured on platforms like HUSH magazine food edition vol. 3/Issue 5, Foodies and Spice show hosted by Gina Ehikodi and The World Umami Forum in New York (September, 2018). He got endorsed as brand ambassador for: Indomie, SamVita Foods and Online TV Cooking show by Ajinomoto seasoning in December 2017, May 2018 and October 2018 respectively. Miyonse was awarded in 2017 as the Outstanding Television Chef of the Year at the Nigerian Culinary Professionals Awards for his work on Wake Up Nigeria.

Chef Fafa Gilbert of the @ndudu_by_fafa ‘Ndudu by Fafa’ food blog was our woman crush on June 24th 2020.
We describe her as a guru in creative African cooking. She delights in sharing food experience with food lovers via her platform.
She hails from Ewe part of Ghana but based in London. She’s quite fluent in her dialect which birth the name ‘Ndudu’ that means ‘Food’ in the ‘Ewe’ language from Ghana. Her name ‘Fafa’ means ‘Patience’. Fafa is passionate about the West African Spices which of course makes her infuse African, Asian and Western ingredients together “giving you the ‘Ndudu’ twist”. She’s also a great fashionista and interior decorator.
Fafa was featured on ITV (This Morning) in January, 2017 with host Ruth and Eamon Holmes. Also, featured on Vital Woman Magazine, Okay Africa, ABNTV SKY 235 , MAMBO MAGAZINE and BBC AFRICA.

Chef Oluwarotimi Alabi @rotimialabi the ‘Kitchen Beyoncé ‘ was our man crush on June 29th 2020.
Rotimi Alabi is a Nigerian Chef, food blogger, stylist, amazing fashionista, a food fusionist and a TV host / presenter. He hails from Lagos, Nigeria.
He runs the Chez Ro @chezro (pronounced as Shay Ro) food service. He is passionate about creating and giving food lovers an ‘unforgettable culinary experience one at a time’. At Chez Ro he delivers exquisite trays and daily lunch to customers. As a food blogger he shares his thoughts, tested and trusted recipes on ‘A Pinch Of Ro’ food blog.
Rotimi runs a fashion agency called Studio Alexion which he started on October 2015, this is a creative agency that dishes out fashion related content, image and wardrobe management, image styling and consultation. He works as a TV presenter at Royal Roots Television, R2TV (A light entertainment channel that delivers top notch content).
In 2019, he was featured as a judge at the maiden edition of Honeywell Cook Off show alongside, Chef Oreoluwa Onanuga and Chef Obubu with host Tobi Bakare. He has made several appearances in Gtbank Fashion Week & on beauty influencer, Sisi Ope’s Vlog.
