2,2–dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate aka. Sniper now used in the preservation and elimination of weevils from beans says CPC.

The Consumer Protection Council (CPC) has come out with a report that beans is now preserved with deadly chemicals like the 2,2–dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate (DDVP) popularly known as Sniper amongst others types of chemicals.

The report was released yesterday Friday 9th November, 2018 in an open letter according to CPC, “There is no evidence that the process constitutes any deliberate attempt by the enterprise to injure consumers.”
