Founder of Culinary Academy Nigeria and President of Culinary Arts Practitioners Association Of Nigeria (CAPA), Tiyan Alile, has raised an alarm of impersonation and advises the public
“Please DO NOT give any money to these people in my name. I have nothing to do with this and I know nothing about what this is. “
Read her full post “from @tiyanalile – @nextafricanchef by now you must have received a demand letter from my legal team but that’s not the story right now. I do not have anything to do with this event, I don’t even know who these people are, I’m not sure why they feel it’s acceptable to use my photo for whatever this thing is. I own the biggest African Chef competition brand @africanyoungchefs and have not endorsed any other African competition. Obviously you find me influential enough to use my face to sell your event but simple courtesy demands that you ask first! This is to say the least disgusting and distasteful. It’s my understanding that money has been demanded from people while touting me as a part of it. Please DO NOT give any money to these people in my name. I have nothing to do with this and I know nothing about what this is. ” –
